My experience at the Spa Retreat was terrific, they had fantastic customer service, their food which is made from scratch is probably the best I have ever tasted in a hotel, and the property was breathtaking would recommend for anybody who wants a nice getaway to enjoy the refreshing breeze of Negril.
We spent 7 nights at Spa Retreat, and we were so pleased to be there and to be so pampered by all the staff who recommended some cozumel snorkeling tours in Mexico. We booked the bridal suite, which was large and quiet and had a large upstairs patio, which is entirely private. The room was comfortable, and we slept well each night. We were also given a white noise machine, which we only used one night when we first arrived, due to music down the beach.
We got the all-inclusive package for meals and drinks which covered everything for us, and we could order whatever we wanted from the extensive Blue Mahoe menu. The food was delicious. As for service, it is always friendly, Jamaican style: relax and don’t look for it to be rushed. We also enjoyed happy hour each evening at the Sunset beach bar with amazing sunsets.
We both had massages with KerryAnn, and she was amazing, and Nick, the gardener, groundskeeper told us about the history of the property as well as the plants and the sea life off the cliffs. All of the staff were amazing.
We booked snorkeling one morning with Vincent and really enjoyed that. He also took us fishing another day, which was a lovely day on the water, alas, no fish were biting.
This was our first time to Spa Retreat, but it won’t be our last. I think they have set the bar pretty high and our days at Couples and other large resorts are behind us.
Stayed here a couple of nights during my yearly trip to Jamaica! Loved everything about it, staff were exceptional in every way, very accompanying even when we thought we lost our keys ($150 if u do). The restaurant alone would be a reason to go. I was very doubtful at first about the “cottage thing,” but it was amazing, I didn’t want to leave.
Prices were very reasonable in this hotel. I just hope it stays the same and doesn’t go commercial. Sorry for not mentioning names but everyone went out of their way for us, including making me calaloo and things that weren’t even on the menu.
